Eduardo Acevedo – First Place Advanced Macro

Eduardo tells us that he took this picture in the Canary Islands (Atlantic Ocean). He says that this fish is seen with eggs normally in the months of May and June. The fish is extremely fast and suspicious but with some luck and patience and with a rebreather he was able to get this image, which was lucky as the fish did not give him a second opportunity for a photo.Eduardo has been diving over 25 years, first with regular tanks and now with a rebreather. He comes from the old school of analogic cameras (Nikon N90) but with the digital change prefers Canon cameras like the 5D or Mark II 5D. Eduardo has dove all over the world (Fiji, Polynesia, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Africa, Mozambique, etc.) but feels most satisfied when images taken in his home, the Canary Islands, get international recognition like this win at the NCUPS SEA International Competition.
